Settling into Summer

The boys waving bye to me on my way out the door one morning.

It's finally summer here in Eugene, and we are getting used to our new west coast routine. We took the boys to Lone Pine Farms to pick strawberries and check out the goats and sheep (and awesome playground). Highly recommended to all the families in the area!
We also went to Splash!, the wave pool, which was a lot of fun. Eli went down the slide 1,000 times and surfed the waves in a inner tube. I thought he would be scared of both of these things, but after a few minutes of "warming up" he was having a blast.

I take this picture whenever we drive anywhere now. It never gets old (to me)!

The transition of being back at work has been much, much easier than I expected for all involved. This is mainly thanks to my parents, who have been doing everything possible to help us. Thank you Nana and Papa!

Isaac loves Papa's spaghetti. He's a pretty big fan of Papa, too.

And finally...here is a video of Isaac pushing Eli all around the backyard on his fire truck push toy. Yes, the little one is pushing the big one (who is giving out very specific instructions of where to go!).

  1. It looked like the wagon almost got away from Isaac at the last minute there! How wonderful that you like your new job so much. Congrats on a smooth transition back into Left coast life! -Liz D.
