Happy Day

Had a great Mother's Day with all my boys today. We had brunch with some friends, a lot of playing outside, Brayce's delicious BBQ for dinner and even made some s'mores over the grill for dessert.

I know this sounds insincere (and maybe a little lame), but I really feel like I get a lot of Mother's Days every year. I am lucky enough to have a partner who not only jumps in to help whenever he is around and gives me a lot of "mommy breaks," but who truly acknowledges and appreciates how hard it is to stay home and raise kids full-time. On top of that, Brayce and I both have families that are willing to lend us any support they can at a moment's notice. I know these are things that not every mother gets to have, and I am grateful for them. Today I've just been thinking about this, and how mothers rely heavily on the support of everyone around them to be the good mothers they are. It really does take a village (you were right, Mom!).
